The Outer Harbour Sailing Federation represents nine community water-sport clubs, sharing a small strip on Toronto's Outer Harbour where, for about 40 years, the OHSF has provided sailing and rowing enthusiasts affordable access to the water.

We are unique in Canada. Nowhere else has a community grown organically to provide low-cost, volunteer-run, water recreation programs to a wide cross section of people without public funding. It would be difficult to replicate this today. Visitors from the United States and Europe marvel at the extent and diversity of our community.

OHSF member clubs have direct access to the water's edge because nearly all of the boats sailed and rowed in the Outer Harbour are stored on land and hauled to and from the water each time they are used. In order to make this manageable for all, very short hauling distances are essential and floating docks are used for daily launching.

All of our member clubs encourage membership. Our clubs host open houses in the spring and inviting you to come down and visit the clubs before you join. Check individual websites for schedules or just appear when you have a moment!

A visit will allow you to meet the members, see the various facilities and get a sense of whether or not the fit will be right for you.
