The Outer Harbour Sailing Federation represents nine community water-sport clubs that share a small strip of Toronto's outer harbour for the enjoyment of sailing and rowing enthusiasts.

The OHSF is unique in Canada. Nowhere else has a community grown organically to provide low-cost, volunteer-based water recreation programs to a wide cross section of people without public funding. It would be difficult to replicate this today.

With direct access to the water's edge, almost all of the boats sailed and rowed in the Outer Harbour are stored on land and hauled to the water each time they are used. In order to make this manageable for all, very short hauling distances are essential.

In order to accomodate launching facilities, the OHSF member clubs own and maintain simple floating docks for daily launching.

Visitors from the United States and Europe marvel at the extent and diversity of our nine community clubs.

For over thirty years the OHSF has provided membership fees at a fraction of the cost of a conventional yacht club.

The Outer Harbour Sailing Federation's member clubs are all located on Regatta Road, just off of Unwin Street, with the exception of Aquatic Park Sailing Club, which is located in Tommy Thompson Park at the foot of Leslie Street. Our clubs are easily accessible by car via Cherry Street and Unwin; by bicycle via the Martin Goodman Trail; and on weekends the TTC's Cherry Street 172 bus stops a short walk away.
