About Our Club

The origins of Hanlan Boat Club began in 1972 by a group of Upper Canada College (UCC) parents, led by Sam Craig, who wanted to revive rowing at the school. In 1974 the first Quonset hut was erected on the property at the foot of Cherry Street, just off of Unwin Avenue in the Toronto Harbour. This property on Regatta Road is the current site of the Hanlan Boat Club.

Hanlan Boat Club, the home of Toronto's Competitive Rowing, offers a selection of rowing programs for all ages and all rowing categories. Our rowing programs are designed to satisfy everyone from the highly trained competitive athletes to the recreational or non-competitive rowers.

Types of Boats

Single and multi person sculling boats.
